Monday Mumblings

I haven't posted since Thursday.

I haven't touched a computer since Thursday either.

Which obviously means I have not visited your blogs.

I was seriously having withdrawals.

My addiction has been in overdrive.

I guess I took a little break.

Unintentional....but nice.

********************************

I had a big date with Chad on Friday night.

Well, maybe not BIG, but dinner and a movie.

We haven't been out in forever.

I lined up a sitter.

Chase freaked out.

It seems all my sitters are now way too close to his age.

Since Claire was at a sleep-over we agreed to let him sit for Cole.

He watches him all the time for an hour during the day.

But never at night.

I was a wreck.

He did a great job.

They were both asleep when we got back.

Cole said his brother was a great babysitter!

I now have a live in sitter...yay me!

***************************************

Chad and I saw "Nights in Rodanthe".

One word: Fabulous!

Two more words: Bring tissues!

Such a chick flick, but I enjoyed watching it with Chad.

He knows what a huge Nicholas Sparks fan I am and took me to see it.

Thanks for the sacrifice Chad!

I highly recommend it.

Go take a friend to the movie or get the book.

Both are wonderful!

***************************************************

I finally got my fall wreaths , pumpkins and mums put out Saturday.

If the weather would just remember it was fall...

It is especially hard to think about Halloween when it is still in the mid eighties.

******************************************************

I took Claire and Cole on a mini road trip this weekend.

We left Saturday afternoon and spent some time with my parents Saturday night.

Sunday morning we headed to Greensboro to meet the newest member of our family.

It was great to hold Miss Caroline.

What a cutie!

So glad my tubes are tied because I think I would be in baby mode right now.

The 3.5 hour trek provided much entertainment and blog fodder.

I will save that for a later post.

*****************************************

Happy Monday!

I will be by to visit later!

My reader is bursting at the seams with 354 posts....be patient!

Good for you on taking a bloggy break and going out on a date. I am jealous. My reader is out of control, too. I've got to get serious about catching up.

Just wanted to let you know I finally watched "The Notebook" on Friday night WITH the hubs and we both loved it (and cried like children, well I cried like a child, he just teared up a little...)

Good ole Greensboro, I sort of miss it. (I used to travel to High Point, NC for work when I was in the home furnishing biz). It's so pretty there this time of year!

Hope you're having a great day Wendi! : )

So glad to hear that you have a live in sitter!! Woohooo, that would beyond make me happy! And glad to hear that the movie was fabulous. Really can Nicholas Sparks do anything bad?? I highly doubt it! At least in my mind it is no way!

Glad to hear you had a road trip with the kids. Can't wait to hear the fodder from that!

I too haven't posted since Thursday. Cleaned up the blog a little, and don't feel like posting much now either. I think I am having problems. What is wrong with me??

Glad you are back, and little Caroline is so cute. Love that her name starts with C. :)

You were missed - glad you're back.

As for the camera question - no I don't have a new one. Unfortunately, unlike some people I know I'm still using my older model but have dreams of a new Canon.
Maybe one day.

Missed you but glad to know you were in good hands.

Also?

I'm very jealous that you have a built-in babysitter now!! How many more years until my boys reach that point?

Welcome back!

Go check out my blog for an award.

And I'm sooooo jealous about going to see that movie. I can't get anyone to see it with me.

You are doing better than me. My last post? Last Wednesday! Geez... I'm slacking I know!

I want to see that movie too. I think I may try to get a date night in sometime in the next couple of weeks. I always bring tissues to movies - I cry at everything!

Happy Tuesday!

Welcome back!
That's awesome that Chase can babysit for you now. What a luxury!
I need a good chick flick and should probably convince someone to go see Nights in Rodanthe with me. After all, we do vacation there and my blog gets tons of hits from people googling info weddings there and such.

Don't feel bad I have been MIA all weekend too and am just catching up.

Chad never ceases to amaze me. Why haven't I heard about his latest rendezvous;)

So happy you had a much needed date night (or partial night, whatever.)

Is that a bloggy makeover? Beautiful, pink AND fall, very nice. My date nights consist of attending sporting events, which isn't bad, but a chick flick occasionally would be so awesome!

I want to go see that movie too!!! Glad you enjoyed it - and bonus points for your Hubby!

Isn't is nice when you have your own sitter!? We love having 2 to choose from {sometimes it does cause problems, so we have to give them specific jobs... }

I have 459 items in my reader. I guess we both took a blogging break at the same time.

I'm glad you liked the movie. I've actually read some really bad reviews from other bloggers so I didn't rush out to see it. I saw Nick and Norah yesterday. It was just ok. Nothing special.

I still don't have my fall stuff out yet. I don't know what I'm waiting for. Christmas?!
