We took the kids out on the boat one more time before school starts next week.
I was thinking boating, tubing, swimming.
Chad was thinking FISHING!
I don't fish.
I don't like fish.
I don't eat fish.
If Chad could do anything in the world...he would fish.
You see why we are so compatible right?
And since I ALWAYS get my way... we FISHED!
Well, they fished.
I read a book and took pictures.
It was a beautiful day.
The fish were biting.
The kids were reeling them in quicker than I could snap the photos.
It was fun.
The first hour.
By the third and fourth hour...not so much.
The kids were fussing and arguing.
There was name calling.
And lots of "My fish was bigger than your fish".
By the time we arrived at the boat landing I was counting down the
until school starts back.

I am with you...fishing (or hungting!) is not my idea of fun. You can just leave me at home...I don't mind!! Have fun though. School will be here soon!!

We like fish. Can we come over and have dinner with you? John can help clean them.... I can help cook them.... and we will help eat them all up so you won't have to.

I have never really understood the great fun of catching a slimy wiggly fish! My friend who lives in your state has a husband who lives to fish..... wonder how far apart you two are??????
Great way to end the summer! Told you there would be some things you would def enjoy about the boat...can't get pix like that anywhere but on or near the water.
Memories like that are priceless and never to be forgotten or tossed aside like some silly toy.
