THURSDAY THIRTEEN

I promise this will be the last time I mention my vacation.

Maybe.

Thirteen Reasons I Didn't Enjoy My Vacation:

1. I didn't have a laptop.

2. I couldn't get my blog fix.

3. I had no Internet.

4. I couldn't read your funny stories.

5. I couldn't see your precious family photos.

6. I couldn't comment.

7. I couldn't write.

8.I worried my pre-post wouldn't post.

9. I missed you...I did.

10. Did I mention I didn't have a laptop?

11. I couldn't email.

12. I couldn't check the weather or find a recipe.

13. Because I didn't have a laptop.

Honestly I had a wonderful time with my family.

It was a fabulous week.

But when we got back on Saturday afternoon...my hand was twitching to touch that mouse.

It was the first thing I did.

Okay second.

And I stayed glued to the computer screen for the next two hours.

I announced rather vehemently that I would never take another trip or go on another vacation without a laptop.

And I won't.

So if anyone out there happens to work for Dell, Compaq, Sony or Apple....help a girl out.

I am not above begging.

And I am not pretty when I cry.

I know there is such a thing as "gifting" people with things.

I need to be "gifted" a laptop.

I will sing your praises.

I will write a post about your generosity.

Please oh please just send me one!

Or I will have to ask my husband.

Good luck with that!

What is it about these things....it's like I'm an addict.

Well, I think your hubby needs to pamper you and buy you a laptop! Remind him of all the things you do for him......a girl MUST have a laptop!

Oh and check Craigslist, that's where Amy got her laptop for a great price and it's really nice. Ask her about it!

And next time see if EI has one of those coffee/internet stores! Skip the coffee, go straight to the internet!

Oh...I so understand! Blogging is my addiction, the thing that I must do! I hope you get a laptop!!

I totally understand. I lived in my own house for 11 days with no internet capabilities. I had serious withdrawal.

Dear Santa,

Please bring Wendi a laptop. She is such a good little blogger. It would mean the world to her. I know this request is a little early, but she is desperate. :)

Sincerely,

Kelli
(her laptop-dependent, bloggy friend)

Having had to SUFFER for the sake of family... you deserve a laptop. She how easy that works out? I had the same web-less downtime a couple of weeks ago and it kinda ruined my time because I couldn't SEE WHAT ALL THE PEEPS WERE TALKING ABOUT. You talk about hooked!! Good luck with the laptop

I totally understand.
Ever since I started blogging, I have become addicted to it and other blogs.
I start freaking when suddenlink goes coo-coo and the server is down for 2 minutes or more.
Maybe we should start a class/group for people like us. :-)

My husband makes fun of me all the time about this. He says that I'm like a junkie needing her fix or I'll get the shakes. I'm really not that bad.

I took my laptop on my vacation but we only had dial-up so I didn't get to read much. I'm with you about the withdrawl.

Ummm....I would be lost without mine. Plus, I don't think the county I work for would be too thrilled with me giving it away!

Maybe you could email them and ask them to give you one for a review?

I've seen something recently on my email webpage about winning a macbook (but you had to answer a gazillion questions and possibly sign up for some trial stuff). Figured it might be cheaper to fork out the $ rather than join one of those crazy "clubs."

I've got it! Buy one for Chad for HIS birthday. YES!

Yeah, already sweating about going to NH for 4 days and Maine for 4 days without "connection". What did we do before computers?

Seriously, I get anxious when I'm away from home all day and haven't had a chance to get online! I would go nuts if someone took my laptop!

I can't gift you one, but if you want, I'll grovel to Chad on your behalf!

so what you're saying is you need a laptop like you need a hole in your head?! am i right?! LOL!

girl. i feel ya. mine probably starts to think it needs some maintenance from a 'puter geek when it hasn't felt my warm fingers on its buttons in the space of 30 minutes. it's a crying shame, it is!

I was sans internet for the last, oh, 20 hours. I really felt like an alcoholic without her fix (or what I imagine that to feel like). Welcome back!

Do you happen to know if the kind folks at EZ School Supplies might be willing to give you one in their EZ packs??

(am I grasping at straws here or what?!)

Yeah I had to take my precious girl on vacation with me earlier this month. Otherwise no one would've wanted to be on vacation with me!

Hope hubby complies! : )

I got a laptop in June, just before we went on vacation. I'm so glad we did! Getting connected on the road can be a hassle, but the withdrawals would have been far worse!
