It is nice to feel needed

I love to feel needed.

Especially by my children.

I love it when only my kisses will make their boo boos all better.

I love when it is me they want to draw comfort from during a thunderstorm.

But this?

Not. so. much.

For some reason I am the only one they want to do this.

I know.

I have tested my theory.

Time.

And time again.

Given the chance to do it themselves....

they choose me

every. single. time.

Isn't it nice to feel needed?

haha! too funny.
however, the whole time i was reading... i was wondering about a question someone recently asked me. do you put the toilet paper on the roll so that it comes from the top or from behind? Weird question I know. It is weird but people have different preferences and I never knew it.

This is one of my BIGGEST pet peeves! I can not STAND to be without toilet paper OR paper towels in a time of need! hahahaha

and Hailey, not that you asked me, but I like it to come from the top!

I think that my husband decided this for me.

He could hold out longer than me.

I would always cave and put a fresh roll on and vow to not cave again, but alas, I always do.

Oh yes, I know that feeling and my kids aren't even old enough to be the ones being needed in that department....ahem...Mark.

you are definitely not the only one out there that feels this way! And to answer to question above, the toilet paper MUST come from the top, all ackward coming from the bottom and makes me mad! I know OCD! whatever, I'm just sayin'.

This is one thing that drives me nuts - the kids, I kind of get but the husband?? Come on.

This drives me nuts! Even though it's a little thing, it really does drive me crazy.

Know what I did? I stopped changing it until I started having help. I would get just enough for me. It was more work each time. But ever since then, it's proved effective! :)

That is too funny! Don't you just love feeling needed? I know I sure do.

Dishes, laundry, all of it!

When we moved house the bathroom never had a loo roll holder and it solved this exact problem so for that reason 2 years on we still have never got one. Classy we may not be but happy we are.

I bet if my boys noticed the TP being out before sitting down, they would still sit down, proceed, and start hollering for "Momma! Momma!"...ugh...

Yeah and if YOU don't do it, YOU end up being the one stuck in the bathroom without any provisions! Yeesh!

I could have written this post. Not as well, mind you...but I have the same exact subject matter and life experience to draw from.

Now you are a woman who knows what her readers can relate to. That's hilarious!!! And true for pretty much every family household everywhere. (And I love that you took pictures of 'em. haha!)

Hi Wendi,
This is Grammy. I just wanted to jump in and say hi to you while she was on your blog. She was so happy to find the comment from your Claire on her blog. Thanks for having Claire to that. That was nice of you.

And the answer to today's question is yes. It is the same at my house. Like you I used to experiment and see how long it would take for someone else to fill the empty rolls.... guess what...it never happened. I finally just gave up because if I don't fill them it will never get done. Oh well, asi es la vida.

I hope that all is well with you and yours. Love, Lura

What bothers me even more (J is way too young, so let's just look at the hubby, shall we?) is when the roll is empty YET, he gets a new roll only to put it on top of the old roll on the holder. As if it will attach itself.

Yeah, that drives me nuts.

Don't worry, my husband needs me in the same way. He leaves the roll on the counter instead of putting it on the thingie....ARGH, it drives me nuts!
