AN ANSWER AND A WINNER!!!

I know the suspense is killing you.

You have been waiting with bated breath for the answer to

"Where in the world is Chase?"

There can only be one answer.

There can only be one winner.

Chase was at Basketball Camp in Durham , NC.

The Home of the Blue Devils.

DUKE!!!

(I am not sure why he chose to wear RED today. He has 500 Duke shirts. Why Red?)

Jamie at Choosing My Own
was the first to answer correctly.

She is the winner.

She will receive one of these.

A Duke tennis visor.

I tried to increase the value of your prize by getting it signed, but .....well ...

It. did. not. happen.

It's the thought that counts, right?

Jennifer, Lauren, Emily, and Brittany guessed correctly too.

(Brittany...you are his cousin... you knew...you cheated...I am calling you on it!)

Sorry girls, Jamie was first.

Four of you guessed UNC.

Great answer.

THAT university is found in North Carolina.

Just not on THIS blog!

One of you guessed ECU.

Another great guess.

That would have made a closer commute.

By my calculations it would have saved me roughly $2, 432 on gas this week.

Two of you guessed both UNC and DUKE.

Nice try.

Are you always that decisive?

Because we would get along great in real life.

I am a fence rider too.

There were two of you that just blew me away with your guesses.

Rachel and Motherhood for Dummies.

(Why do I not know your name MFD? Do you have one?)

Rachel guessed UCLA.

Motherhood for Dummies guessed BYU.

What?

Huh?

North Carolina is on the EAST coast.

UCLA is on the WEST coast.

BYU is close to the WEST coast.

I was freaked out over my 12 year old going to camp a few hours away.

My freak would have really been on if my child was in another state.

No one wants to see that.

It would not be pretty.

I digress.

Chase had a wonderful time.

The best of his life he says.

He had a heaping bag of laundry for me when I arrived this morning.

I can't complain though.

I expected to walk into his dorm room and start picking up, and packing his things.

I was greeted by a suitcase, a duffel bag , a bag of dirties, and a pillow.

The sheets had been stripped off the bed.

Dirty clothes were amazingly put in the laundry bag.

The drawers were already emptied.

His clothes were in the suitcase.

He had done it all.

Without my help.

I did not have to do a thing.

Well, except tote the blasted luggage, and laundry bag, and pillow down three flights of stairs and across two streets, and two parking lots.

That was to be expected.

ME being the Mom and all.

This growing up thing.

It might not be so bad.

I didn't know Duke was there. I was SO certain it was UNC and that you were trying to hide all the baby blue in the pictures to not give it away :) Oh well. Congrats to those who guessed right!!

That part of growing up sure does not sound bad! Nice!

Congrats to the big winners!!! And, yes, I am always that indecisive! Hubby hates it! I should have gone with my gut and just put Duke! Oh, well! I'll work on that!

I'm sure you're happy to have you little man back!

Yay for Chase having the time of his life AND making it ok without Mom around. Here's my one question - how was his breath? I know how concerned you were about him brushing those teeth!

Glad he's back home safe and sound with you!

Congrats to Jamie. I had absolutely no idea but knowing you as well as I do (Ha) I was sure that it was not out of state.

Congrats to Chase for having such a nice week and to you Wendi for surviving it.

Just so you know I wasnt going to leave a comment because I did know where he would be but since other people had guessed correctly I thought I might have a shot at winning something. But now looking at the prize I am even more happy for Jamie!! Glad your house is clean and children are home where they belong.

Great pictures! Want to see all of them sometime! Glad Chase had fun while you had "fun" cleaning and organizing.

A man reading this blog, or your last on MOMMY CAMP would throw in the towel on ever understanding we women. Doubt they'd ever take advantage of the free time to clean!

Love,

Snowbird

I guess he could learn a little about basketball at that other school.
I should have know it wasn't Carolina since Roy was watching the baseball world series in Nebraska - duh.
Oh well - you win some, you loose some.
Glad your baby's home - now go wash those clothes.

Still curious how you just managed to "drop by" and "spy on him" while Durham is 2 hours from Ktown! Glad both you and he survived! :)

SO that explains it....I was worried about you there. I thought you really were a psycho mom!

I figured there was an explanation and a good one at that! I'm glad you survived your busy days. I mean, really who termed it the lazy dog days of summer, mine has started off BUSIER than ever!

I am happy I got the answer right! My husband says that he would love to teach at Duke University, by the way.

And my daughter just got back from Girl's Camp today, so I am with you on regretting all that laundry.

I puffy heart his PEACE sign. How teenagerish.... :)

If I had been on the ball (my stupid Bloglines account has been acting up all week so I need to resubscribe to you), I would have been wrong. Sigh.

He rocks though! Right on! So glad he had so much fun.

Hey, does that mean Isaac might figure out where his dirty clothes go someday? Really? Please?
