MEMORIES

We are having a huge Alzheimer's Walk this weekend in our community.

I think I will be walking for my future.

Seriously.

I can not remember anything.

What was my favorite thing to do as a child?

No clue.

What did I do yesterday?

Escapes me.

What did I eat for dinner?

um....

What was I just doing?

Blank.

Do you ever feel this way?

I seriously think I need memory meds.

Do they make those?

I can be walking to the back of the house to get something and forget what I went to get.

I can leave a message for my husband to call me.

When he calls me back five minutes later....I have no idea why I called.

I have blamed it on pregnancy.

Can't do that any more.

I have blamed it on old age.

I am 38.

Not THAT old.

I carry a list with me where ever I go.

Just to be sure I don't forget something.

I am sure there was a point to this post...but I can't remember what it was!

I'm the same way. They say fish oil/omega something or another is supposed to help this. I think Dr. Oz on Oprah said it definitely has something to do with having kids and lacking these minerals that causes memory loss. I may just have to buy some. If I can remember.

Golly. I'm 24, and I'm lucky I can remember to leave the house for work...I'm losin' it.

Ohmygosh. I do the same thing...all the time!

I can be looking for my keys. In my hand.

I can be looking for my glasses. I am wearing them.

I open the fridge. With no clue why i did it.

I start the washing machine. And forget to put the clothes in!

Glad I am not alone...hopefully I will remember that the next time I have a moment....hehe :)

I think the only thing I can remember to do, is say I forgot. I run around all day doing things I forgot!

You andI are sisters, right? Because this has to be a genetic problem - I'm horrible. I remember the 'select few'.

I'm 38 also and need to write everything down. We have a calendar with ALL knowledge on it. If it doesn't make the calendar, it does not occur. No mind. No memory. That's me.

We ARE the same! I'm convinced of it.

I'm also walking in the Alzheimer's Walk for my city too. It was cancelled previously due to Hurricane Ike. But back on for Nov 1. Go us!

Can I walk with you?

Wait, what did I just ask?

You are so funny. I have the same issues so let's come up with a support group. We have to come up with a catchy name (that we'll be able to remember).
Hmmm. What about ALFM? American League (of) Forgetful Moms?

I'll keep working on that.

I'm convinced that pregnancy and motherhood have killed tons of my brain cells...most in the memory dept.

totally have this problem. and it actually seems to be getting worse?? i thought i read somewhere that by the time the baby was a year, all the brain power would come back.

pretty sure someone was lying. big time!

The same things happen to me...I used to have a steel trap memory and after having Carter my memory is horrible. I have to write EVERYTHING down or else I will forget. I am always setting alarms for myself to remind me of what I need to do or where I need to be. Thank heaven for cell phones and Microsoft Outlook!

Wendi-you crack me up. But seriously, what was I saying?

Oh, right, I think it's really the kids. They take away your brain and you never fully get it back (well, at least the memory part)!

I sit there and say "I'm gonna remember this... I'm gonna remember this..." and it still doesn't work. Bummer...

You are too funny!
I think there is some kind of vitamin or something that will help you remember things better, but since I don't take it, I can't for the life of me remember what it is called.

I'm so glad you posted this. I forget so many things I have to keep a list with me always.

Don't forget to go on the walk.

I can relate to ALL of that, and I'm only 32! I tease my family that they're going to have their hands full when I'm older and can't remember who I am.

We took a poll ... every time you were pregnant you lost brain cells so that is what happened to our memories! :P

How come I can remember specific things from 5th grade and have a hard time coming up with what I did last Saturday?
At least you are not alone!

You are so funny. It has been a hard week for me with Erin so sad and JOhn in the hospital but I can always count on you to make me smile.

Thanks my cute friend.

By the way, this is Grammy Lura....one of your blog friends....just in case you can't remember. I've missed your comments on my blog posts lately...now I know why....you just can't remember who I am.

I forgot what I was going to say! LOL

Glad to know I am not suffering with this on my own.

My doctor tells me though that the brain damage from having kids isn't repairable so I still fully hold mine responsible.

Having children that live in your house is the cause of brain failure, as I like to say!!

When do you think they will move out!! :))

I totally know the feeling.

At dinner last week I asked my husband if he'd like to try a bite of mine.
30 seconds later I asked again.
When I couldn't remember if I had offered, 30 seconds later, I asked again.

And you know what he said? He said, "It's really weird watching you age Jamie."

Dude. That's sad.
