Monday Mumblings

Last week just before the Presidential debate I announced I was going to my room to watch the debate.

Cole looked puzzled and asked, "Mommy, are you going fishing?"

I turned around, giggled and said, " Of course not silly. You know Mommy doesn't fish."

To which he replied, " But you said you were going to your room to work on your baits!"

Laughter ensued.

There is certainly NO question who his father is.

*************************************************

I guess sometimes you really do get what you ask for.

I asked for the weather to remember it was fall.

It listened.

We went from mid eighties to the sixties.

I guess when I asked, I should have mentioned I needed a little warning.

Last night it dipped into the thirties.

BRRRRRR!!!

***************************************

I plan to go on my crawl slight jog run later today.

I am going to use all of you wonderful advice.

And most importantly, I plan to breathe!

*****************************************

Tomorrow we are headed to the State Fair.

Let the artery clogging, deep fried eating begin.

I can hardly wait!

Hmmmm.

Maybe I should run twice today?

********************************

I have been reading the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer.

Is it possible to have yet another addiction?

The answer is YES!

I am currently half way through the third book, Eclipse.

Pardon my absence today as I go finish it.

My dear Edward awaits.

I am starting Twilight series as soon as I finish my book club book. I have heard it is soooo addicting. Don't you wish running were that way? Maybe you could download the books if you don't have them already and listen to them while you run. Maybe it will be like a Pavlov thing. Addiction to Twilight=addiction to running? A girl can dream!

We had to turn on our heater this weekend! That's a little too cold for me, too, fall!

I hope your run goes well so you can enjoy some good old fashioned fried stuff for me!

Run, Wendi, RUN! : )

Love the cooler weather.

So funny about your "baits!"

I'm reading the series too. I am actually starting Breaking Dawn tonight. My husband has been out of town and the boys have been busy so I read the last two in 3 days. I think it must be like the Harry Potter books for some people. (never got into those but boy I can't put these down)
It is still warm here. Highs in the low 80's. I would love some lows in the 30's, I'd be in heaven!!!

Maybe you can run to the State Fair tomorrow, while breathing, reading and baiting your hooks! Now that is multitasking! Have some fried dough for me. I don't think you call it that down south. Maybe it's a funnel cake or something like that?
You go girl on the jogging thing!

We're cold here too - we actually had to turn our heat on (I got tired of seeing my kids bundled in blankies every where they went).

I've got Twilight riding around with me in my trunk - I haven't started it yet. I don't know why.

Have a great mumbling Monday!
(eat a funnel cake for me)

You got sucked in too, huh? I think I'm the only person on the planet that isn't a fan of those books.

I read the first 300 pages of the first one and just couldn't read anymore. (I know you're probably in shock.) But kudos to Stephanie Meyer for writing 5 books in 4 years...amazing.

Yay for cooler weather!

I need to start running. I must just lace up the tennies and go. I may not be fast....but I will be running :)

State fair?! Lucky! I can't wait to hear the yumminess that you ate...

I haven't started her book yet...but I am planning to soon. It's currently on my shelf. Waiting...you must tell me how you like it!

I am reading the Twilight series, too...I am on the second book, New Moon right now.

I want some food from the fair!! Sounds so delightful!

I did not blog for weeks because of Edward...I read all of it twice even. Oh my!

Good for you on your running. I still need to start... I said I'd start when it was a bit cooler. The cold front comes through tomorrow morning. Let's see if I'll keep my promise.

Wendi said...

I hear you. No gradual changes here either. Weather is weird. I never have a clue what to expect from one day to the next.

Just starting the Twilight series??? Oh honey, are you LOVING it?

Ignore you house, your family, and plow through. It's the only way.

i wish fall met 65 to 70 degrees! Round here we have been down in the 20s! With highs of only 55 to 60.
We love twilight round here. But we are borrowing the books from a friend who has lent the 3rd one to someone else and now we have to WAIT patiently {ya right, chomping at the bit!!}
