Tuesday Tidbits

I am sure you don't need reminding, but.....

Get out and vote!

I voted last week.

The lines were long, but I was still in and out in 30 minutes.

Four years ago I waited in line for 3 1/2 hours.

With a 7 month old.

Not. good.

It could only be worse if I had to take a four year old.

And possibly a nine and twelve year old.

So glad I don't have to go there.

I puffy heart early voting.

***************************

My husband is off today.

One guess as to where he is.

Nope.

He already voted last week too.

Next guess?

Oh how right you are.

He is on a boat....fishing for um, well...fish.

The weather forecast?

Cloudy, windy, and 90% chance of rain.

Not 10%.

90%.

That would mean in all likelihood it will rain.

When will he learn?

I am so glad my addictions hobbies involve being indoors with heat, plumbing, and electricity .

****************************

Last week the busy never let up and I am way behind in my visiting and commenting on your blogs.

My reader is sitting at 614.

I see no other way out of this.

I may have to resort to that "mark all as read" button.

Please forgive me?

************************

Last Thursday I went on a field trip to the Outer Banks with a bus load of 4th graders.

Lets just say that the 12 hour excursion provided me lots of blog fodder.

And 200 photos.

Stay tuned.

********************************
Has anyone started their Christmas shopping?

Please don't tell me if you have already finished.

I may have to hunt you down and beat you.

I have started.

I now have 5 presents.

Two of which are wrapped.

My goal is to have my shopping completed by the end of the month.

A girl can dream ...can't she?

My husband fishes all the time too. No matter what the weather. 1/2 of our vacations are planned around where he can fly fish. This week we are headed to the mountains to celebrate gage turning 6 - so he (gage) can of course break in his new fishing rod. He will teach all 3 boys to be fishermen. Am I allowing a dis-service to my future daughter in laws????

Christmas shopping? I haven't even thought about it! Thanks for scaring me!

I've missed you! A lot!

Don't worry about deleting the posts. I do the same thing. I find if they start building up I am stressed.

Hit delete?

I can breathe again :)

Love the randomness and I can't wait to see pics/stories....

Have some nice warm clothes waiting for the hubby when he gets home along with dinner on the table. hehe

Glad you got to vote early - it took us an hour & a half today. Not too bad.

I have 2 presents, neither are wrapped yet though. I really need to get on that. Usually I'm almost finished by now but it's been a late start this year.

And I voted early too - to get away from the lines!

I'm back....did you miss me or were you too busy to notice I was gone? I missed you but I did have a great visit in Kentucky with my son and his family.

I hope your hubby got some fish after braving the rain to go fishing. He is a trooper.

Your halloween pictures are so cute... glad to get to check in on you again.

Have a good day.

Don't worry about not reading and commenting on all your blogs. I, too, am having a hard time getting to everybody for the past week.

And, sadly enough, Christmas shopping is a year round event for me. I have a closet that I stash things in, not so much for the girls because they snoop, but for everyone else. Of course I don't finish until Dec. 24th, can you say major sales?

Thanks for your post today. I am over here giggling at you hunting down and beating all those "with it" people who are already done with their shopping.

Hang with me. I like to really get going on my shopping the week before Christmas. I get such great deals!
Crazy, I know!

(new to your blog.) We got absentee ballots and didn't fill them out by the deadline (losers) so we had to take all kids in tow. We survived, thanks to leftover halloween candy. I'm a NC transplant and just the mention of Outer Banks made me want to run back to the south. And Christmas shopping gives me the yuck this year because there's just not as much money to go around and I'm trying to figure out how to let all the extended family know they didn't make Santa's list this year. Sigh.

I have to admit that last year I had all my shopping done, wrapped and stashed under our bed by October 31st.

This year a totally different story. But I do know what everyone is getting....well almost.
