I told you yesterday that I was getting ready for McMommy's 30th Birthday Party.
I am all dressed and ready to go.
McMommy asked us all to send in a photo of the shoes we will be wearing.
I always do as I am told. (stop laughing)
I am always fashionably late.
My pictures were sent on Tuesday evening.
Just before the deadline.
I chose these cute shoes for the party.
Because the party is all day, I needed to be comfortable as well as look good.
Thus the reason for my choice. My first choice was Rainbow's
Besides, who else is going to show up with foliage on their tootsies?

McMommy is having an incredible McShoe contest.
She will be choosing the fab 5 shoes of the party.
At some point during the party she will be crowning a winner.
There are some great shoes on the red carpet.
I think I may have been the only one who chose comfort. well, except for Amanda-that is comfort!
Did you see Bree's shoes?
She definitely went for "hawtness" and not comfort. Very sassy.
What kind of southern girl would I be if I did not show up with some southern delicacies?
Here are the goodies I have prepared for the party.
Chocolate Chip Cheeseball
1 8 oz. Cream cheese
1/2 c. Butter (1 stick)
3/4 c. Powdered sugar
2 TBS. Brown Sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c.mini chocolate chips
3/4 c. pecans (finely chopped)
Cream together cream cheese and butter.
Add sugars and vanilla.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Refrigerate @ 2 hours. Roll in Ball. Refrigerate 1 hour. Roll in nuts. Serve with Graham Crackers.
Hot Mexican Dip with Chips
1 can Refried Beans
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 8 oz. Sour cream
1 8 oz. Salsa
1 cup shredded cheddar or mexican cheese
Tostito chips or Scoops
Mix the refried beans and taco seasoning mix. Spread in the bottom of a 9x13 dish.
Spread the sour cream over the beans. I do use a little more Sour cream. Next, pour salsa over the sour cream. Last sprinkle the cheese over the salsa. I like to remember it by layers of red and white.
Beans-Sour Cream-Salsa- Cheese. Yes, it is that easy and yes, it is that good!
Pop the dish in a 350 degree oven until it is hot and bubbly. Serve with chips. Enjoy!
These are two of my signature dishes.
I hope you enjoy them.
