It seems my readers are a curious lot.
Kristen left a comment on my Mosaic Meme post that has left everyone bewildered.
I really wasn't quite ready to share this news.
I didn't tell her not to say anything.
And technically she didn't.
She mentioned something about an impending arrival.
Okay... maybe I could share a little.
Chad and I have been talking.
We have been thinking about what it would be like to have one more.
I know three is plenty for any family.
But really when you have three, what is four?
Yes, I only have two hands.
Yes, they are expensive.
Sometimes you just have to take risks.
Right?
Mine are each different and special in their own way.
I love them all.
But we have felt a certain void.
Something that has been missing.
We just couldn't put our finger on it, until now.
Our memory is just not what it use to be.
We need more memory.
And more mega pixels.
And more "zoomablitity".
We need to go from a family of three cameras to a family of four.
Hence the mention of the impending arrival.
It arrived.
Meet Nikon.
Isn't she beautiful?
She came to our family just a few days ago.
I am already in love.
Head. over. heels.
The first day I took over 300 pictures.
Looked at 5125 photography websites.
And read the manual 4 times.
I still don't understand any of it.
But I will.
I want to take pictures like her, and her, and her.
Oh, and her and her.
And I can't forget her, her, or her.
I will not stop until I can.
This may take a while folks.
But it will be fun practicing.

Darn it, I thought you were going to make my day and say you were pregnant. I was going to be sooo jealous but offer my help in any way needed. (Preferably babysitting ha)
My son just turned 18 a couple of weeks ago and we got him the Nikon D40 for his birthday. It takes gorgeous pictures. His came with some DVDs and he watched them all. My pictures have never been very good so I doubt it's the camera...just my lack of skill!

You had me on the edge of my seat.
Welcome to he world of Nikon. I suggest you check out some Nikon forums online, for extra pointers. They were so helpful.

Well, I'm still excited about your new baby. And honored to be in your photog line-up.

Girl, you are FUNNY!
I too, thought you were prego. I'm feeling the same thoughts except really about a baby--have 3, it's a good place for us, but for some reason I want more! Brian doesn't (he gets up with them at night!)

Found you through POW. Have been having fun reading through some of your entries.
Congrats on the camera! I got my first "big girl" camera almost eighteen months ago, a Sony A100 DSLR and now I'm graduating up to a Canon EOS1D MarkIII. I can't wait. It gets addicting, I'll tell ya that much.
I'll definitely be back, especially to see some of your handywork with your new Nikon!
How HYSTERICAL is my BFF, Wendi?!?
Your BABY.
HA!!!!
And look at you missy...your impending arrival is quite popular...I am your 40TH COMMENT!!!!
Congrats on such a beautiful little one!
Love my Nikon too, still learning how to use it. But it's awesome! Enjoy yours! I thought you were going to say you were pregnant too! lol~ Happy pow!
Oh I was so going to set you straight--4 kids is truly night and day from 3. I'd take three any day. You lose all power with 4--I know.
Enjoy the camera and happy POW!
ITA with Lisa's comment above...4 is a WORLD of difference. I am having camera envy...the Nikon is on my wishlist. Congrats on getting one.
