My computer is back home where she belongs.
And the best part?
So are the tens of thousands of photos that I thought I had lost.
Excuse me while I go burn all my photos to Cd's, upload them all to web albums, and put them on a flash drive.
I have learned one can never be too sure.
And my poor heart can not stand another scare like that.

I am so happy you have your computer back...photos and all!
oh it must feel like christmas morning over at your house!!
happy "burning" day :)
Yay!! Oh, the pictures... I also need to do some backups. That would so totally suck!
Congrats on getting her back. Because of your scare, I am now on top of backing all of my pictures up.
I don't think my heart could stand a scare like that at all.
I am glad it is back! Everyone deserves to have a working computer.
Oh yay! That must be a great feeling to know you have all your photos. Whew!
Whew! That was a close one! Now, go buy and external drive (less than $50) and back those puppies up!
So glad that it worked out well for you. I keep saying that I will burn my pictures to CDs....maybe I'd better do it instead of talking about it....or get an external drive like Krystyn suggested.
I'm happy for you
YEA!!!!! I am SO happy for you. :)
HUGE RELIEF!
Let's have a welcome home party.
We can take more pictures....
What a relief. I'm happy for you.
Phew! So relieved for you! Like I said, I've lost some in the past and it's PAINFUL.
I am happy that you were able to get all of your pictures back. This is a good reminder of why I need to get caught up on burning my pics on a disk.
Yeah...so happy for you! I have started the process of burning but really do need a burning day to get it all done.
This post made me think back to before we had computers. What did we do?? Yep.. I'm still thinking. I can't really remember.
Anyway, glad "she's" back and thank you for keeping up your blob. :)
Thank goodness it's all back! Don't we all learn our lessons the hard way?
I learned a little tip from a photo-maniac friend this summer - burn your pics to DVD instead of CDs. They hold WAY more stuff (I managed to get more than a year's worth of photos, and I take a lot) onto one DVD with room to spare.
And now I'm doing it all the time. Stories like yours freak me out enough that I will take the time to ensure that my precious memories don't end up lost forever.
I never did get the story of the "gifter" of your laptop . . . was it Chad?
Glad you don't have to share your internet anymore!
yeah.....i am so glad for you. Pictures mean so much to me so I could understand completely what you where going through. I am glad it all worked out ;-)
Wendi, I am so happy for you!!
Yay, yay, and yay!!!
What a relief! I swear, that would make me cry like no other!
So glad that all was not lost!
